Jupiter’s immense moon Ganymede is known to have an underground ocean vaster than all of earth’s oceans put together. The perfume’s creators, Marc-Antoine Barrois and Quentin Bisch, have imagined it here in a world with an atmosphere so brimming with aromatics that it becomes combustible.
While Ganymede eau de parfum is a soft and mineral leather scent, Ganymede Extrait is a spicy and hot leathery fragrance. The original formula has been deepened with overdosed Immortelle flowers and an addition of myrrh and incense. This precious fragrance is as sophisticated as it is sensual.

Just like Ganymede EDP, this one needs to be experienced. Nothing can prepare you for this truly elegant fragrance. It is drier, smokier and darker than the EDP, but not broody. I am very partial to the nose behind this, so it comes to no surprises that I find Ganymede Extrait to be a shining example of graceful mastery.
The top notes are challenging, but then something special happens: the smoke and burnt hyperdrive smells begin to shift, revealing the hidden core of this brilliant exercise. Hot spices, hot leather, smoky incense, you get it. It lasts forever and is very potent, be careful not to dull your sniffer with this one.
This fragrance feels like elite stuff (think haute couture). Maybe this will not suit you, so do yourself a favor and experience it first. I am glad i did. I like the EDP better than this one, maybe because I smelled it first. Top-tier niche fragrance.
