ADDICTIVE / UNIQUE / AVANT-GARDE
A green, obsessive & addictive composition supported by tuberose absolute, galbanum, angélique flower, fleur d’immortelle, wooden & leather notes & styrax. A focus on the small peduncle that connects the flower to the stem, the sound of latex when several stalks of tuberose tangle, the wild majesty of the Persian tuberose.
Inspiration - The premise of a narcotic lady.
Perfumer : Isabelle Doyen
Why you'll love it
Perhaps this is the way to enter the world of Naomi Goodsir: through a scent both wild and controlled, avant-garde and perfectly balanced. “Nuit de Bakelite” is an intoxicating flower stem scent which oozes and swirls like music. The boldness of tuberose is anchored to a delicate chorus of gauzy earth tones. Humidity sings. Botanical, romantic, refreshing, dreamlike, and full of movement. Or, a bit like a walk through a greenhouse as the rain drums on the steamy glass roof. Wearing it feels like donning an asymmetrical couture garment; layered, thick, sculptural, with the odd hem left deliberately unfinished. "Nuit de Bakélite" is unlike anything else we’ve smelled.
