Some musks are take-no-prisoners. Some are fleeting, or the scent of clean skin.
Musc in Mona di Orio’s deft hand is heartbreakingly lovely: the softest of rose, the most delicate of heliotrope, the most angelic of neroli.
The musk at the base of the scent implies the hidden carnality under all that radiant innocence, making it as captivating as it is unforgettable.
NOTES: Neroli, rose, heliotrope, tonka bean absolute, precious musk.
I am not normally a huge fan of muscs, but I was intrigued by Frederic Malle's Musc Ravageur. There is a note in MR that on a bad day makes me feel like it's almost dirty. So I looked for a musk that was cleaner, and tried this. Musc is a sublime perfume. It is gentle, and delicate, and lasts about 8 hours on my skin. It's a skin scent, for sure, and wearing it is like wearing silk chiffon. The notes are delicate and easy to identify. I love heliotrope in real life and it's so realistically portrayed here. Try this if you like the Mona di Orio line, or if you enjoy Frederic Malle's L'eau Hiver, Laura Mercier Neroli, Guerlain's L'heure Bleu or Apres L'Ondee, or Annick Goutal's Musc Nomade.
