L’Artisan Parfumeur’s classic fragrances remain unchanged throughout its 40-year history. A true mark of confidence in its alchemy, the perfumes are as modern today as they ever were.
L’Artisan Parfumeur was the result of a challenge. Due to his training as a chemist, a friend asked Jean Laporte if he could create a banana scent to wear with a costume of the same fruit to a gala evening at the Folies Bergères. This was quickly followed by grapefruit and vanilla fragrances. He experimented and created original scents with “natural essences”. With the success of his first line of fragrances, Jean Laporte was named L’Artisan Parfumeur – the craftsman of fragrance – by perfume enthusiasts.
L’Artisan Parfumeur’s classic fragrances remain unchanged throughout its 40-year history. A true mark of confidence in its alchemy, the perfumes are as modern today as they ever were. Made with passion and artisanal finesse to symbolize a different olfactory journey, each fragrance carries with it creative freedom and artistic flair: the hallmark of its master perfumer.
We are excited to have l’Artisan Parfumeur back at Etiket. An old friend that we missed and we know you did too.
Armfuls of white flowers, flooded with sunlight, on a summer's day.
Long, sunny days and meadows full of flowers in bloom. Imagine lying under the shade of citrus trees and looking up towards the sky. Wispy white clouds and butterflies float above. The gauze of butterfly wings and fine nets echo the delicate nature of this fragrance. The result is soft, luminous and sheer.
Notes: Tuberose, Orange Blossom, Jasmine, Lime Blossom, White Flowers.

A forest in the Pyrenees. The crackling of a fire. The frosted absinthe is set ablaze when it blends with the spices, balms, pine needles and patchouli.
Absinthe is the green fairy of inspiration that brings visions, madness and wanton dreams. Absinthe was the drink of Bohemian Paris. Wild nights at the Moulin Rouge were fuelled by this forbidden wormwood liquor. It embodies illicit fun, freedom of mind and a playground of contrasts. The unique element of this fragrance is the constant play of juxtapositions. It is a balanced mix of fresh and spicy with cool and woody warmth.
Notes: Black Currant, Angelica, Wormwood, Ginger, Patchouli, Nutmeg, Pepper, Star Anise, Cloves, Balsam Fir, Incense, Pine Tree Needles

An accord that explores the freshness of luscious blackberries, with an addictive facet of white musks.
Mûre et Musc is the iconic débutante of L’Artisan Parfumeur’s first collection and is noteworthy for its innovation and ultimately for its classicism. A memory of fizzy fresh berries, long green grass and the little white apron all set for blackberry picking on a sunny day. The irreverent contrast of warm white musk against zesty blackberries is what sets not only this fragrance but this niche perfume house apart, as a true pioneer in perfumery.
Notes: Amalfi Lemon, Orange, Mandarin Orange, Basil, Blackberry, Red Berries, Musk, Oak Moss

The scent of a fig tree on a summer's day in Provence. An enveloping freshness with milky woody notes.
Premier Figuier marks an innovative milestone in the history of perfume. Imagine lying under the shade of a magnificent fig tree in the south of France. The fresh leaves, milky sap, warm air, sweet fruit, and even the cool shade cast beneath this tree were all captured for this scent. The magic of this fragrance also lies in the dreamlike quality it evokes of sensual layers of light, movement and scent.
