The olfactive snapshot of Louis XIV and the French Court, as they gather on the site of the Peace Negotiations with Spain.
June 1660, Isle of Pheasants, Basque region, on the French-Spanish border.
To ensure peace between them, two Royal Courts converge at a richly- appointed pavilion built of freshly cut Pine and Cedar wood. From the French side, in a golden aura of Iris, Rose and Jasmine, emerges a young Louis XIV, all starched and composed, eager to catch a glimpse of his new bride, the Infanta Maria Teresa.
Developed in conjunction with Rodrigo Flores-Roux.
Key Notes:
Orange Blossom, Florentine Orris, Jasmine, White Cedar wood
Top notes: Neroli, Galbanum, French Cypress and Bergamote
Heart notes: Orange Blossom, Jasmine Absolute, Clove buds and Rose water
Base notes: Florentine Orris, Vetyvert, White Cedar wood and Oiselet de Chypre accord (resinous amber accord based on Labdanum)
My wife bought me this fragrance and at first i thought it was too flowery... but after a few hours, it becomes quite masculine thanks to the cedar wood and amber.
gentle and gorgeous.
neroli and orris stand out above all else, the wood notes are extremely subtle and pleasant
This "candy corn" scent persists even in the last stages of dry out. Very addictive fragrance
